Yngwie Will Unleash the F*cking Fury (and Possibly the Coronavirus) Upon Las Vegas (and the Internet)

Yngwie Malmsteen will unleash the fucking fury — and possibly the coronavirus — on Las Vegas later this month.

The guitar virtuoso will play a show at AV Vegas on Saturday, March 20 “as both a live, in-person concert and livestream experience,” according to a press release. In other words…

If you live in or near Vegas and have either been vaccinated or love Yngwie so much that you’re willing to risk your life to see him up close and breathe the same potentially-fatal air as him, you can do that. Helping your chances of survival at least somewhat is the fact that protective measures will be in place — masks will be required inside the venue, concertgoers will be seated at tables and spaced out six feet apart, etc. — but still, it’s an indoor show. Just know what you’re getting into.

If you don’t live in or near Last Vegas or you’re not willing to risk it all to be within spitting range of that and his luscious mound of Swedish-grown chest hair, you can watch it online instead.

Either way, Eddie Trunk will serve as host.

Tickets for the stream range from $15 to $600 (!), depending on whether or not you want souvenirs and/or a Zoom call with Yngwie (in his defense, the $600 package comes with an autographed Fender Squire). You can get those here.

Tickets for the in-person show are $160 – $500, depending on how close to the stage you wanna be, and come with an autographed poster. You can get those here.
