Devin Townsend Posts “Aftermath” Quarantine Performance from Devolution #2 Release

Devin Townsend has announced the second in his series of Devolution albums to keep his fanbase entertained between larger, more significant releases of new music, and he’s shared a video to go with it.

Devolution Series #1, which came out in March, featured an acoustic performance captured in Leeds, England in 2019. The second, titled Devolution Series #2 – Galactic Quarantine, consists of a quarantine show that aired on September 5, 2020, featuring the all-star band lineup that Devin had planned to take out on the road in Europe last year: Wes Hauch (Alluvial, ex-The Faceless, ex-Black Crown Initiate – guitar), Samus Paulicelli (Decrepit Birth – drums) and Liam Wilson (The Dillinger Escape Plan – bass).

Devin explained previously of the Devolution series:

“So we bring to you the ‘Devolution Series’: a grouping of oddities and interesting material that I would like people to hear, but don’t necessarily want to present as a ‘major release’.

“The series will include all the quarantine songs and concerts, as well as various live shows from the past few years.

“I’m am currently deep in the writing of my new projects and am very excited to be doing so. Thanks for facilitating my ability to do that, and I hope you enjoy the ‘Devolution Series’.”

The most significant new project at the moment is Puzzle, which Devin has been working on since late last year and said was near completion as of March.
