Cradle of Filth to Perform Cruelty and the Beast in Full on Tour

  • Axl Rosenberg

Cradle of Filth announced a new album, Existence is Futile, just last week. That makes now the perfect time to celebrate something they released in 1998.

Which is what the band will do starting in October, when they return to the Colonies to perform their third album, the Elizabeth Báthory-themed Cruelty and the Beast, in its entirety.

Now, I know this may seem like an odd decision. But keep in mind, 2021 is Cruelty and the Beast‘s twenty-third anniversary. And you don’t expect the band to wait another two whole years to play the entire record front to back, do you???

ANYWAY, support will come from 3Teeth and Once Human. In a statement, Once Human guitarist Logan Mader specifically says the band will be touring “in support of our new single, ‘Deadlock,’ featuring Robb Flynn.” Why they’re actively supporting something new and not exclusively material from their 2015 debut, The Life I Remember, is anyone’s guess.

Says Dani Filth of the trek:

“It’s been far too long America, but soon we will return to haunt your shores again. We, as a band, are very much looking forward to coming back to the States and performing ‘Cruelty and the Beast’ in its entirety (plus some firm fan favourites), which was our earlier intention before the Pandemic reared its ugly head.

“To say we’re very excited about this, plus the support of 3Teeth and Once Human is an overwhelming understatement!”
