Animals as Leaders Finish Tracking New Album

0

Animals as Leaders mastermind Tosin Abasi has finished tracking guitars for the band’s next album, which will be their first since The Madness of Many, released in 2016.

How do we know? Tosin himself announced as much via Instagram along with a video clip of him tapping through what he says is the very final guitar part put to tape. He captioned the video as follows:

“Finished tracking everything for the next @animalsasleaders album last night! Pretty fitting that this was the last guitar part????????????????‍???? It’s also my new ring tone ????

“Also, how sick is this Capri orange j-Larada ???? ????????????”

Abasi and his old pal and collaborator, Periphery’s Misha Mansoor, were working on new Animals as Leaders music together as of September 2020. Mansoor also contributed to AAL’s self-titled 2009 debut and The Joy of Motion (2014).

Have a look at the clip of Tosin tappety-tapping below. With a mix and master yet to be done, and current vinyl production lead times at 8-10 months, we not see a new album until the middle of 2022. We will, of course, keep you posted.
