STOP THE PRESSES: Adema Release Their First New Song in Ten Years

The world went a good ten years without any new music from Adema — but it’s 2021, and like and Adema have snuck back into our lives like the Delta variant, only slightly less aggravating.

The nu-metal band is best known for once featuring Jonathan Davis’ little brother on vocals, but he’s long gone. Their current singer, Ryan Shuck, used to be in Orgy, but that doesn’t have quite the same lurid allure as being the younger sibling of someone from beneath whose shadow they will never crawl out.

That means this new Adema song, “Ready to Die,” has nothing really going for it other than its merits as a song. And as a song it’s… fine? I mean, look, it’s not the most embarrassing thing Adema have ever done.

(“Axl, MUST you post that album cover EVERY time you write about Adema?” you ask. And I answer: “Yes. I absolutely must. For it is truly something special.”)

The video for “Ready to Die” is below if you’re curious. It will be on the next Adema album, 360 Degrees of Separation, which does not currently have a release date.
