All That Remains Part Ways With Bassist Aaron “Bubble” Patrick

Bassist Aaron “Bubble” Patrick has announced his departure from All That Remains “after 8 years of touring the world together.” I don’t have a calculator handy, but he joined the band in 2015, so I think his math may be off. He’s on two albums at least, Madness (2017) and Victim of a New Disease (2018).

In a statement, Patrick calls the split “amicable,” but provides no further details. So we don’t really know why he’s leaving the band. It could be he’s done with the touring lifestyle. It could be he wants to start a new band with his partner, like his All That Remains predecessor, whasshername. Maybe he just grew a soul. Who knows.

Here’s Patrick’s statement in full:

“After 8 years of touring the world together, All That Remains and I have decided to part ways amicably. I wish nothing but continued success for all of them. Got support the band for the Fall of Ideals anniversary tour, coming in 2022.”

All That Remains add:

That’s not a joke. Patrick released his around noon EDT yesterday, and as of 8:37 a.m. this morning, the band hasn’t said anything.

I’m not implying that speaks to the importance of Patrick as a member. I’m saying it outright. You think it would take Killswitch Engage more than 24 hours to say something if Mike D. left? Hm?
