Extinction A.D. Announce New Single, Album and Record Label

0

I absolutely love it when good people I like link up with other good people I like, and so it has come to pass with NY-based neo-thrashers Extinction A.D., who’ve just announced a partnership with long-running extreme metal label Unique Leader.

The label and band will drop a new EP, Chaos, Collusion, Carnage & Propaganda, in November, and they’ve just unveiled its first single, “Chaos,” one-minute-51-seconds of the stomping, fist-pumping thrash on which Extinction A.D. have built their brand over the past several years. And while we generally associate Unique Leader with death metal — the techy, more brutal side of it, at that — the team-up totally makes sense in that Extinction A.D. are just as unrelentingly punishing as any band on the label’s roster. “Chaos” is proof of that.

The band comments on the signing and new material:

“We’re extremely psyched as hell to be working with Unique Leader Records. We may have cut our teeth in the hardcore and punk world and will always feel like we belong there, but the metal world is our home and this is a huge step in the right direction for us.

“While the music world stood still throughout the COVID lockdown, the real world moved on in so many crazy ways and that’s what spawned this EP. People showed their true colors, both corporate and authoritarian powers exerted more control, lives were lost, brains were softened and both tension and anger mounted. That gave us an even more visceral sound than ever on Chaos, Collusion, Carnage and Propaganda.”

Jam “Chaos” below! Chaos, Collusion, Carnage & Propaganda comes out on November 5; pre-order here.

Extinction A.D will play an EP release show on November 6 at Amityville Music Hall in Amityville NY, with Dying Wish, Lich King, Loss Becomes and Electrocutioner. Also catch the band on tour in the U.S. this November / December with Exhorder, Take Offence and Plague Years.
