Zeal & Ardor Debut Scorching New Single, “Götterdämmerung”

0

The release of Zeal & Ardor’s new self-titled album is still nearly four months away and the band’s already released three singles, with a fourth arriving today… but hey, who’s complaining?

Their latest, “Götterdämmerung,” is more in line with the first two, “Run” and “Erase,” which is to say it’s some of the heaviest material of the band’s career (in contrast to the third single, “Bow,” which is bluesy and down tempo). It’s also sung mostly in German, band leader Manuel Gagneux’s native language, giving it an even more aggressive sound. He explains:

“‘Götterdämmerung’ is our most bare bones song yet. No gimmicks, no frills, no distractions, just rage. Most of it is [sung] in German, commanding your attention and heralding the dawn of a new point of view. This is Götterdämmerung.”

Give it a spin below. Zeal & Ardor comes out on February 11; pre-order here.
