Because these days Christmas marketing begins the moment Halloween ends, At the Movies, the Scandavian supergroup dedicated to covering songs from ’80s and ’90s film soundtracks, have released a cover of WHAM!’s holiday classic “Last Christmas.” Which is not in and of itself best known as a soundtrack song… but, well, ya know.

Guitarist Chris Laney states:

“Oh no! NOT THAT SONG AGAIN?! Have you ever thought that way? I know that I have… and that is why I just felt we HAD to make our ATM version of it, haha. I love X-mas. It’s my favorite time of year and I hope this will bring some X-mas spirit to you guys. Pour yourself some eggnog or a glass of glühwein and enjoy!”

At the Movies are:

  • Linnéa Vikström Egg (QFT, Therion): vocals
  • Björn “Speed” Strid (Soilwork, The Night Flight Orchestra): vocals
  • Chris Laney (Randy Piper’s Animal, Zan Clan): guitars, vocals
  • Allan Sørensen (Royal Hunt, Pretty Maids): drums
  • Morten Sandager (Mercenary, Pretty Maids): keyboards
  • Pontus Egberg (King Diamond): bass
  • Pontus Norgren (Hammerfall): guitars
