Dokken + George Lynch Announce More Shows Together

0

It’s Friday, meaning there’s a ton of new music out. And while I’m whole-heartedly not one of those “music ain’t what it used to be” guys — there’s some incredible stuff coming out these days all over the metal spectrum, as we highlight every day here at MetalSucks — I find myself only interested in jamming old Dokken records this morning. I’m not fighting it.

And with that: guitarist George Lynch reunited with his long-estranged bandmates in Dokken at a handful of gigs this year, and he’s just added several more to the slate for the rest of 2021 including a bunch in the Northeast. Huzzah!

The new dates (added to the existing two at the Whisky):

Dec. 07 – Warrendale, PA @ Jergel’s
Dec. 09 – Buffalo, NY @ Showplace Theatre
Dec. 10 – New Bedford, MA @ The Vault
Dec. 11 – Poughkeepsie, NY @ Chance Theater
Dec. 17 – West Hollywood, CA @ Whisky A Go Go
Dec. 18 – West Hollywood, CA @ Whisky A Go Go

Lynch joined Dokken on stage for three songs at four prior gigs this year in PennsylvaniaMoline, IL, Virginia and Waukegan, IL. You can watch footage at those there links.

Dokken, Lynch, bassist Jeff Pilson, and drummer Mick Brown last toured together for a brief run of Japan in 2016, the first time in 21 those four had performed live together. Brown recently retired from drumming, but his brother Steve, who plays with Lynch in other capacities, would be the obvious replacement.
