Sebastian Bach Changes Skid Row Lyric with Homophobic Slur

The evolution of Woke Baz has been almost as fun to watch as Woke Axl, the former Skid Row frontman growing increasingly more bold in expressing his left-leaning political convictions publicly in recent years. From standing up for gun control reform to wearing “Fuck Trump” garb to abruptly ending an interview following a homophobic comment directed at Rob Halford to telling Staind’s conservative shitstain Aaron Lewis to fuck off, it’s been fun to watch the guy we associate with “18 and Life” turn into such a mensch.

Some fans have noticed that Seb has even changed a key Skid Row lyric during his live performances lately. In Skid Row’s “Sweet Little Sister,” from their self-titled 1989 debut, the lyrics originally said, “The petting’s getting heavy, got my tongue in her ear / Her friend is doing time for kicking ass on a queer.” That final line has now been changed to “Her friend is doing time for knocking over a beer.”

The lyrical change came into the wider public view thanks to an exchange between Bach and a gay fan on Twitter. “You kicked ass last night in SF! As a lifetime fan who has seen you everywhere from Hammerjacks to NY Steel to Broadway — who happens to be gay — I thank you for changing the lyrics to SLS. Words matter! You fuckin ROCK!!” the fan said. Bach responded with a quote tweet agreeing, “Yes they do. Very cool that someone actually noticed.”

You can watch footage below of Bach performing the track with the lyrical edit. The clip comes from his currently in progress tour in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Slave to the Grind.
