Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne Plug ‘Cryptobatz’ NFT Series in Comedic New Spot

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne appear in a new minute-and-a-half video clip that takes a humorous approach to explaining the decision to launch an Ozzy-branded NFT series called Cryptobatz.

Announced last month and arriving later in January, Cryptobatz, created in conjunction with Sutter Systems, are centered around the infamous 1982 incident in which Ozzy bit the head off a bat during a performance in Des Moines, IA. There will be 9,666 totally unique NFT bats. ‘

In the new spot, posted on Sharon’s Twitter account, Sharon explains that the series was born when Ozzy tried but failed to acquire a Bored Ape NFT for his birthday. You can watch the comedic sketch below.

Ozzy previously commented:

“I’ve been trying to get in on the NFT action for a while so when I asked Sharon for a Bored Ape for Christmas after several failed attempts of buying my own, and she said no, so I decided to create my own,” said Ozzy.

“CryptoBatz is a fucking mental project for NFT collectors and fans. The design pays tribute to one of my most iconic on-stage moments and is a chance to acquire a rare piece of art history. I love it!”

Each Cryptobat will give collectors a unique opportunity to birth an additional NFT by activating a feature which will allow their purchase to ‘bite’ and mutate with another NFT from their digital wallet, resulting in ‘MutantBatz.’ The NFT series will also see the launch of AncientBatz, a treasure hunt that will enable CryptoBatz holders to find new Batz around the globe in hidden locations. Each AncientBat will subsequently be able to bite up to 100 times, unlike their CryptoBatz cousins which can only bite once.

You can see a couple of samples of Cryptobatz below.
