Korn Get “Lost In The Grandeur” On New Single

0

Friday sees Korn‘s new album Requiem being released to the public at large. But apparently, the Bakersfield band decided that another two days might be too long for their fans, so they’ve released yet another single, “Lost In The Grandeur,” which you can hear below.

So we’ll say this for “Lost In The Grandeur” — it comes in pretty heavy. The track opens with an almost-Gojira-ish rhythm and riff (almost). But like the previous singles that we’ve heard so far, the song immediately goes into a pretty typical clean-sung hard rock sound. We’re sure this makes sense for Korn — we wouldn’t be surprised if they did a little recon and found that their overly-harsh albums and singles do worse than their mid-paced melodic ones — but we’ve always been here for Jonathan Davis bellowing and barking, not crooning.

Anyway, try to get lost in “Lost In The Grandeur” below:

Requiem is out February 4 on Loma Vista, and is available for preorder.
