Make Them Suffer Part Ways With Vocalist/Keyboardist Booka Nile Following Sexual Assault Allegations

Booka Nile has in many ways become the face of Australian metalcore act Make Them Suffer, having starred on the Australian iteration of Married at First Sight and only recently appearing on our podcast. But according to Lambgoat, Booka is now out of the band after sexual assault allegations against her surfaced last week on Twitter.

Earlier today, the band posted a tweet reading the following:

“Booka Nile’s time as a member of Make Them Suffer has come to an end. Unfortunately we are unable to comment any further on the matter.”

The site points out that this seemingly relates to a tweet that came out last week in which Booka was accused of having sex with a man against his will. In a text conversation that allegedly came from Nile, the keyboardist wrote:

“Was like not having sex with me and I’m like ugh so I just got on top of him and made it happen and then he’s like ‘should we be doing this’

“And then I told him to shutup

“And continued hahaha”

Nile, for her part, posted the following to her Instagram stories:

More on this story as it unfolds, but these are obviously very serious accusations. If you or anyone you know has been a victim of sexual assault, contact the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-4673.
