Metallica Announce Buffalo and Pittsburgh Stadium Shows with Greta Van Fleet and Ice Nine Kills
It’s been a hot second since Metallica have waged live warfare on the East Coast, given all their recent San Francisco-centric events (their 40th anniversary concerts, their second S&M show, et cetera). But now, the band have announced two live gigs on the East Coast, and have conscripted an interesting duo of openers.
As reported by Kerrang!, Metallica will hit Highmark Stadium in Buffalo, New York, on August 11th, and PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on August 14th. Support on those shows will come from Zeppelin cosplayers Greta Van Fleet and slasher showtune crew Ice Nine Kills.
It’s cool to have Metallica back, though some fans will definitely arch an eyebrow at these support acts (we acutally like Ice Nine Kills, though we get why some thrashers wouldn’t). Meanwhile, there’s no way these are the only two dates, so get ready for more tour news in the near future.
