Watch Limp Bizkit Drummer John Otto Dance Alongside His Daughter on Competition Show Come Dance With Me

0

As a new dad, I’ve come to understand a parent’s desire to do literally anything for their kid, no matter how embarrassing or obnoxious. I spent at least 20 minutes last night running laps around my house, waving my arms in the air like some terrified shmuck, because it made my toddler laugh to chase me while I did so. So I have to tip my hat to Limp Bizkit drummer John Otto, who is appearing on the televised dance competition Come Dance With Me alongside his 11-year-old daughter Ava.

As reported by Metal Hammer, John and Ava are two contestants on this season of Come Dance With Me, which features celebrities and their kids performing dance routines together. The show’s premise is that:

“exceptionally talented young dancers from across the country who invite one untrained family member who has supported their dance dreams to be their partner for a chance to strut their stuff for a grand prize.”

Speaking to Celebrity Page, Otto admitted that he was in over his head a bit.

“I just [tried to] keep it one foot in front of the other and just worried about not trying to embarrass her, let alone embarrass myself — I already embarrassed myself.”

Ava, meanwhile, was supportive of her dad, and obviously has a better grip on what viewers of this kind of show are looking for:

“You were great, you didn’t embarrass me. I am so thankful for anyone who is supporting us. It was a big step for the both of us so it’s really great knowing that people are supporting us from everywhere.”
