Creeping Death Got Their Trailer Stolen In Albuquerque
Right now, Texan death metal upstarts Creeping Death are out on tour with Carcass and Immolation. Unfortunately, the band’s stop in Albuquerque, New Mexico, proved eventful in all the wrong ways after they got their trailer stolen and had to deal with a lot of bullshit runaround from the ABQ PD.
Drummer Lincoln Mullins tweeted the following:
“Creeping Death’s trailer got stolen out of a hotel parking lot this morning. Yes it was locked up to the van, yes we have AirTags
“Showed ABQ Police the exact location of 3 AirTags and they said it’s not enough to go inside the building and see…because the business was closed
“They won’t even come to the hotel to see the surveillance footage of our shit being taken. Happy day 2 of tour
“Small update: they did come see the surveillance (4 hours after the initial call). No plates on the car visible. It was taken at 6:34 AM and we noticed it at 6:39 AM. I legitimately can’t believe how close we were”
Thankfully, the band did recover the majority of their gear when one cop finally did his job (and bought a shirt, like a G):
“THANKS TO AIRTAGS AND ONE VERY NICE ABQ SHERIFF (SURPRISINGLY) EVERYTHING WAS FOUND EXCEPT FOR MY BORROWED BASS DRUM CASE (SORRY BRAD) AND OUR UHAUL TRAILER. THE NICE SHERIFF BOUGHT A LONGSLEEVE OFF OF US UPON US LEAVING THE CRIME SCENE”
We’re glad Creeping Death go their shit back, and everyone is safe. If you’re seeing the band at one of their upcoming shows, roll over to the merch table and give them some fuckin’ money for their troubles. Also because they’re a great band!
