CAPRA is Hitting the Road with The Grasshopper Lies Heavy Next Month
Metallic hardcore mainstays CAPRA are gearing up to lay waste to the deep south this fall, with a little help from Texas post-hardcore band The Grasshopper Lies Heavy. This newly announced slate of dates are in support of Eyehategod and is the first leg of a three-legged touring schedule for the band.
CAPRA guitarist Tyler Harper said the band was completely stoked about getting back on the road, taking note of how they’re part of such a strong bill.
“With Furnace Fest coming up, we’re beyond ready to be back on the road with our friends in The Grasshopper Lies Heavy, one of the sickest bands in the Texas underground right now and to be doing a few shows with the legendary Eyehategod! These dates are going to be a blast and among our last few shows of the year. Come out and party with us!”
Then, in October, CAPRA will ride again, this time with a pair of shows supporting Exhorder and a single show with KEN Mode on Halloween night.
Recorded with Jai Benoit, then mixed by Taylor Young, and mastered by Brad Boatwright, CAPRA’s bassist Ben Paramore said the band’s latest record In Transmission. You can currently pick it up via Blacklight Media.
“We wanted it to be the heaviest and most complete record we could possibly lay down, composed of only the best songs we’ve written over years of playing together. It’s the best set of songs we’ve ever had, and we’re all extremely proud of them, and each other, so we hope it sounds like a total passion project – because it is.”
