Head to Duff’s Brooklyn Next Week for a Bloodbath Listening Party and Blood Drive

The most badass blood drive ever conceived is going to take place at Duff’s Brooklyn next Wednesday, September 7, as the world famous metal bar teams up with Napalm Records and Bloodbath for a night of blood, beer, and brutal Swedish death metal.

Kicking off at 6:30 p.m., the 11th Annual Duff’s Blood Drive is a free and public event that will not only collect blood donations to support the New York Blood Center, but will also be the only place you can hear Bloodbath’s forthcoming studio effort Survival of the Sickest two days before its worldwide release. Some lucky attendees will even have a shot at getting their hands on some copies of the new album in various formats!

In addition to the killer tunes and various brews already on tap at Duff’s Brooklyn, New Jersey’s Bolero Snort Brewery is bringing “Carved,” its new Bloodbath-branded Pumpkin Spice Coffee Stout named after the newest single off Survival of the Sickest.

For Duff’s Brooklyn owner Jimmy Duff, who’s been running blood donation drives out of his location for years now, there’s a palpable level of excitement as the event draws closer.

“Duff’s is thrilled to be partnering with the legendary Bloodbath, the New York Blood Center, Napalm Records and Bolero Snort Brewery to bring you our 11th annual blood drive party in conjunction with the release of Bloodbath’s killer new album Survival of the Sickest! Come on out to donate blood to those in need or try an exclusive beer and join the fun.”

Even though Bloodbath will be playing a show at the Meh Suff! Metal Festival in Switzerland that day, the band said they were happy to participate in their own special way with Duff’s annual blood drive.

“Many thanks to the legendary Duff’s in Brooklyn and to everybody involved in putting this event together. Be there on September 7 to hear our new album, Survival Of The Sickest, in full, give some blood or enjoy some ‘Carved’ stout – let’s just hope no zombie outbreaks occur or Nick will need to bust out the Super Bee for a sequel!”

With all the excitement surrounding new Bloodbath music slated for the evening’s festivities, it’s important to remember that this will be an active blood drive. The New York Blood Center is one of the country’s largest non-profit blood collection and distribution organizations, having provided blood to around 200 hospitals in the northeast since the 1960s.

“There’s no better way to help hospital patients than donating blood. Not enough people donate. When you do, you will make a difference in the lives of three patients. Support Duff’s Brooklyn Blood Drive on September 7, and thanks to all involved for their partnership in helping save lives here in New York.”

Any attendees that donate blood will receive a limited edition event t-shirt while supplies last. To donate, you must be of age and can’t have had any alcohol prior to making your donation.

So if you’ve got nothing going on next Wednesday, you owe it to yourself to head down to Duff’s Brooklyn. Hell, if you already have plans, just cancel ’em. It’s for a good cause and is sure to be pretty fucking metal.
