The First Taylor Hawkins Tribute Show is Today, Here’s How to Watch It Live

Back in April, the music world was shocked to learn of the sudden passing of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins while the band was touring South America. He was 50 years old. In the immediate aftermath of his passing, the band canceled all remaining live dates and hunkered down to grieve the loss of their friend and bandmate.

Today, that months long bout of radio silence will end with a loud eruption of rock n’ roll, as London’s Wembley Stadium hosts the first of two tribute shows. The second tribute concert will take place at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on September 23.

And before any commenters complain that this has nothing to do with metal, go listen to that Dream Widow album and tell me the Foo Fighters couldn’t hang with the best of ’em.

Live coverage of today’s tribute show will begin at 11:30 a.m. EST/8:30 a.m. PST/4:30 p.m. BST. You can watch the concert for free via YouTube (embedded below), as well as Paramount+ if you’re in the U.S. and Pluto TV if you’re elsewhere. If you can’t catch the show live, CBS will broadcast an hour long version of the concert later tonight at 10 p.m.

It should go without saying that today’s tribute show will be jam packed full of an eclectic group stars ranging from fellow rock stars and metal titans to standup comedians and a very special YouTube personality.

That list includes: Travis Barker, Martin Chambers, Josh Freese, Violet Grohl, Justin Hawkins, Shane Hawkins, James Gang, Brian Johnson, Kesha, Luke Spiller, Lars Ulrich, Nandi Bushell, Chris Chaney, Stewart Copeland, Liam Gallagher, Omar Hakim, Joshua Homme, Chrissie Hynde, Alain Johannes, John Paul Jones, Greg Kurstin, Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, Brian May, Krist Novoselic, Nile Rodgers, Mark Ronson, Supergrass, Roger Taylor, Rufus Taylor, Wolfgang Van Halen, Chevy Metal, Dave Chappelle, and Chris Rock.

You can check out the concert when it goes live by simply scrolling down to the YouTube embed or tuning in on the appropriate streaming platform for your region (Paramount+ for U.S./Pluto TV for international viewers).
