Mercyful Fate Will Tour North America for the First Time in Two Decades

0

Oh shit! Fans of long-running heavy metal band Mercyful Fate here in the U.S. and Canada rejoice. For the first time in more than 20 years, the iconic act will embark on a North American tour.

Now, we know they just played Psycho Las Vegas, but that means nothing to anyone who couldn’t attend that admittedly bonkers event. Starting during peak spooky times on October 25 in Dallas and ending on November 16 in Atlanta, the tour will give fans on this side of the planet a chance to supplicate themselves before the greatness of King Diamond and his crew.

“These will be the first Mercyful Fate concerts in North American theaters in over twenty years. Memories of a lifetime. Your special chance to see Mercyful Fate with the full European festival production, but up close and personal. You cannot miss this… I hereby respectfully invite you to Come To The Sabbath by which you may free your soul and feast with us in the dark of Night. Witches and Demons, you may come as you are! Satanic Regards – King Diamond 666.”

Joining Mercyful fate on this run will be Kreator and labelmates Midnight.

Along with regular tickets, the band will be offering limited VIP packages that will include meet & greets, photo opps, private Q&As, exclusive merch, and more. Those tickets will go on sale tomorrow at Mercyful Fate’s website.

Starting this week, a series of presales will be available:

Mercyful Fate may not put out a new record until after King Diamond does, but that doesn’t mean there’s no new music. During recent shows, the band’s been playing a new song called “The Jackal of Salzburg” since this past June. Here’s hoping we’ll hear more new songs on this next run of dates!
