Watch Dallas Toler-Wade Rip Through Narcotic Wasteland Song “Victims of the Algorithm” in New Playthrough Video

South Carolinian death metal quartet Narcotic Wasteland—featuring former Nile guitarist and vocalist Dallas Toler-Wade—released their latest tune, “Victims of the Algorithm” at the tail end of last year. If you missed the song, you have another chance now because the band have dropped a new guitar playthrough video featuring Toler-Wade.

You’ve seen playthrough videos before, so you don’t need me to explain what it looks like, and you’ve heard Nile and Narcotic Wateland before, so you don’t need me to explain to you that it rips. Speaking about the new video, Toler-Wade said:

“This guitar/ vocal playthrough was footage taken from the video shoot for our latest single, ‘Victims of the Algorithm.’ We had rehearsed the song a good bit before the tour and had about two weeks out on the road to play the song live. So even though it’s just a video, I feel I got the performances pretty close to the studio version. Kenji Tsunami with Tsunami Films once again does a fantastic job!”

“Victims of the Algorithm,” as well as “Morality and the Wasp” and “The Best Times Have Passed,” Narcotic Wasteland’s other two 2022 singles, which will be released on a to-be-announced album set for 2023 release on Megaforce. In addition, Narcotic Wasteland will hit the road for a few Texas dates in June, so make plans to hit those if you’re in the area. Or don’t, we’re not your mom (thank God).
