Sleep Token Announce Third Album, Take Me Back To Eden, Stream New Single “Vore”

0

Anonymous metal band Sleep Token—currently the UK’s hottest metal export—have announced that their third album, Take Me Back to Eden, will be released on May 19 via Spinefarm Records. In addition to the album announcement, Sleep Token are also streaming the single “Vore,” which combines the band’s chugging, heavy side and their softer, melodic side.

According to the official press release, Take Me Back to Eden is the third album in a trilogy that Sleep Token began on their debut album, Sundowning, which came out in 2019. The second album in the trilogy, This Place Will Be Your Tomb, was released in 2021. The announcement of Take Me Back to Eden was preceded by a whopping four singles, plus “Vore.”

From the official presser:

“…Eden features probably the heaviest moments thus far recorded by Sleep Token (i.e. “Vore” + “The Summoning”), along with some of the most immediate and certainly the most emotional (i.e. “Aqua Regia” + “DYWTYLM”), with a slew of other tones, textures, and tangents touched on in-between.

TMBTE sees Sleep Token boldly re-confirming a  true  love of the epic (the title track is eight minutes plus), while further exploring and developing those elements that keep the music removed from any kind of pack, howling at a moon that’s all its own.”
