‘Mike Judge’s Beavis And Butt-Head’ Season 2 Gets 4/20 Season Premiere

0

Streaming service Paramount+ has announced that the second season of Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head will officially debut on the network on April 20 in the United States and Canada. Australia and the U.K. will get the premiere on the 21st, and other international markets will get it sooner.

The show was always planned as a two-season shebang when it was first announced and if you’ve seen Beavis and Butt-Head before, you already know basically what to expect. If shit is cool, Beavis and Butt-Head will tell you it’s cool. If shit isn’t cool, Beavis and Butt-Head will tell you that it’s lame as hell.

According to Deadline, the show is helmed by original creator Judge, in addition to Lew Morton and Michael Rotenberg, and Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Ben Kalina and Antonio Canobbio for Titmouse. Originally created in a 1992 short, Beavis and Butt-Head enjoyed seven seasons (March ’93 to November ’97), with a 2011 revival season coming later. The movie Beavis and Butt-Head Do America was released in theaters in 1996.

The trailer doesn’t really show you much, but it guarantees you won’t need to leave your 4/20 couch-locked state when the first two episodes drop. If you need your Beavis and Butt-Head fix right now, you can watch the first season, original eight seasons and movies Beavis and Butt-Head Do America and Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe (released last year) on Paramount+.

If you still need convincing (leave the hall, poser), check out our review of Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe:

“Trying to find a flaw with this movie feels as stupid as its protagonists. If you were hoping for some sort of revelatory reinvention of heavy metal’s favorite fictional characters, then you’re as dumb as they are, too. Beavis and Butt-Head Do The Universe reminds us that even if life gets complicated and the world seems like a mess, watching two snickering metalhead idiots wander around screwing things up is still comedy gold. Hey. I said ‘screw.’ Aheh. Aheheheheh. Aheheheheheheheheheh.”
