Hypocrisy Drop Reissues for Preorder

Hypocrisy and Nuclear Blast Records are releasing the first round of classic album reissues, some of which are rare or hard to find.

The band are dropping vinyl and CD editions of Penetralia (1992), Osculum Obscenum (1993), The Fourth Dimension (1994), and Abducted (1996) on May 5. All of these foundational albums introduced the band’s sound to Sweden and beyond and helped lay the framework for melodic death and black metal today, and preorders of the albums are now available.

There are also some cool changes and Easter eggs that nerds will get stoked about (me included). The reissues feature original art with touchups. Allegedly, the logo on Penetralia wasn’t meant to be pinkish purple—That was just a happy accident.

While these reissues are exciting, we hope there is more music in store from the band as well. In November 2021, they released their 13th album, Worship. Hopefully, there will be another record in the near future.
