Mudvayne Announce Their First Headlining Tour in a Decade
For the first time in more than 14 years, nu-metal outfit Mudvayne are heading out on their own headlining tour this summer. Dubbed “The Psychotherapy Sessions,” the 26-city tour will start in West Palm Beach, Florida on July 20 and come to an end on August 26 in Englewood, Colorado.
Coming along with Mudvayne as supporting acts will be Coal Chamber, Gwar, Nonpoint, and Butcher Babies, so each date will feel relatively familiar to anyone looking to relive the “good ol’ days” of JNCO jeans, chain wallets, and KoRn t-shirts. All you’ll need to do is make sure to grab your tickets today.
In the band’s announcement, Mudvayne drummer Matt McDonough commented on the upcoming tour, but didn’t really say a whole lot worth of substance. Maybe fans will understand the word salad?
“An Event. On the Horizon. Over 25 years in the making. Brave travelers…You, and the alien seed – MuDvAyNe. A journey begun. Reaching Zenith. Now for the Eschatology.”
While this is the band’s first new headlining tour in years, it’s not the first time they’ve hit the stage in as long. Last year, Mudvayne returned to the stage in support of Rob Zombie during the Freaks on Parade tour.
Let’s just hope this time around they invest in some stage-side netting. Don’t want a repeat of the infamous (albeit hilarious) “Not Falling” incident…
