Metallica Teases a Thrashy Track for This Thursday That’s Sure to Anger Haters

0

We’re only a couple weeks out from the release of Metallica’s 12th studio effort 72 Seasons and the metal titans are teasing another single that’s set to drop this Thursday. And while the super thrashy riff they posted on various social media platforms sounds like old school thrash, it’s sure to piss off huge swathes of the metal community, because that’s just a fact of life at this point.

Unlike previous singles “If Darkness Had a Son” and “Screaming Suicide,” this new track sounds straight up old school thrash — even more so than “Lux Aeterna.” It’s definitely got some “Spit Out The Bone” vibes, which is definitely welcome, given that song is probably one of the best things the band’s written in 15 years.

So yeah, we’ll have to keep an eye out for the new track this Thursday. I’m sure Metallica will keep teasing parts of the song because this promotional train has no brakes. Just remember — it’s just a song and no one hates Metallica more than Metallica fans.

Speaking of having no brakes, Metallica are also gearing up to kick off their world tour next month in Europe before eventually making their way stateside. For more information about the tour, such as dates and locations, check out the full list below.
