Tribulation Released a Stop-Motion Video for Their Blue Öyster Cult Cover

Swedish gothic metal outfit Tribulation is set to release their latest EP Hamartia tomorrow and in order to celebrate that impending release, they’ve put out a creepy looking video for “Vengeance (The Pact).”

The video, produced by Selmer Kastalje, looks very old school with the claymation/stop-motion visuals. Tribulation guitarist Adam Zaars said the look of the video was deliberate, given the nature of the song itself.

“We felt that ‘Vengeance (The Pact)’ deserved a video as well, and considering the lyrical content of the song, a stop-motion approach seemed like the way to go. It’s an idea we’ve entertained before, and we’re very glad Selmer Kastalje was available to help us bring this idea to life.”

Hamartia will be released tomorrow, April 7 via Century Media Records. As such, you can preorder or presave your copy today.

If you’re planning to be in Europe this summer, you can also potentially catch them live at one of the many festivals planned later this year. Be sure to check out those dates below.
