Clutch to Release ‘The Complete Edition’ of Sunrise on Slaughter Beach

0

Last year’s studio offering from Maryland rockers Clutch, Sunrise on Slaughter Beach, was one hell of a record. From start to finish, each song wove intricate tales and bounced to its own groove in an infectious way that only Clutch can provide, making it one of my favorite records of 2022.

Though Clutch are currently out on the road in support of their 13th studio effort, that isn’t stopping the band from supporting the record in other ways. Hence today’s announcement via social media that unveiled a special box set for the record that’s been dubbed its “The Complete Edition.”

Pressed on six 7″ vinyl records and featuring three new bonus tracks (“Boogeyman Blues”, “Arts & Crafts”, and “Railroad Daisies”), this new edition of Sunrise on Slaughter Beach also offers a sweet looking 7″ turntable mat and an eight page booklet. It should also be noted that each of those vinyl records will be placed in their own custom jackets featuring some more robot designs in the vein of the album’s main cover.

As of the time of this publication, there’s no release date other than to suggest it’s “coming soon.” Still, it’s enough of an exciting release from one of today’s best rock outfits that it’s worth whatever wait they have in store.

If you’re not interested in waiting too long for a new vinyl collection, you can always catch Clutch on tour. For a full list of dates, check it out below.
