Mötley Crüe is Working on New Music, Mick Mars Be Damned

0

They may be embroiled in a legal battle with their former guitarist Mick Mars, but that’s not stopping Mötley Crüe‘s Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx, and John 5 from getting in the studio and writing some new tunes. We know this because Sixx shared a photo on his Twitter account of the three of them working at Riott House Studio in North Hollywood.

In a follow up tweet, the bassist that allegedly uses backing tracks in a live setting elaborated a little more on the band’s work:

Of course, all this is sure to only throw gas on the flames of an ongoing legal battle between the band and Mars, who said he intended to continue working with the band in the studio when he retired from touring. With John 5 now firmly in his spot in the band’s lineup, he’s now pretty much officially on the outside looking in.

All of this is in line with the fact that the band apparently saw Mars as already out of the band when he backed out of his touring responsibilities, but it’s still bound to cause some problems down the road. Things have already gotten ugly between the two camps and this certainly isn’t going to help things.

Who knows how this will all play out? Mötley Crüe are currently getting ready to commit crimes in concert in Europe by subjecting fans to Vince Neil’s singing or Sixx and Lee’s backing track shenanigans. You can check out the full list of dates below.
