If you’ve been draggin’ ass this Friday morning, then you’re going to want to sit down and blast the latest single from TEETH directly into your earholes. “We Eat Our Young,” off their newly released EP A Biblical Worship Of Violence, has enough compressed power in its slightly more than three minute run time to level a major city block.

Made available via Nuclear Blast Records, A Biblical Worship Of Violence is the Canadian hardcore/noise metal band’s first release, yet it shows a level of angst and righteous fury to sound like it’s been honed over time. The band’s also coming off a string of successful headlining shows, resulting in a wave of momentum that’s gotten them noticed in the metal world.

A Biblical Worship Of Violence is our ode to the ache of change – a snapshot of a moment in time where we were all going through dark shifts in our personal lives that forced us to see life through the lens of true pain and discomfort. We knew we needed to create something so visceral and honest to articulate what we’d been going through while also giving us the opportunity to speak on the state of this world. Division, compulsion – an intrinsic gravitational pull toward cruelty and brutality. ABWOV is a commentary on human beings darkest, most volatile conventions.”

Speaking specifically on the new track, vocalist Blake Louis Prince said “We Eat Our Young” had a relatively easy writing process.

“‘We Eat Our Young’ structurally came out all at once – I was pretty heated at that moment in time – feeling a lot of “fuck you” energy – and it just felt like a lot of fire. It’s sort of a trance or hyperfocus state for me – then it’s over”

You can check out the full EP on streaming platforms everywhere, or you can pick up a physical copy today.
