Mutoid Man Answer the “Call of the Void,” Announce Third Album Mutants

American weirdo metal group Mutoid Man have announced Mutants, their third album, for a July 28 release. To get you warmed up, they released new single “Call of the Void,” which features a chaotic Converge-esque foot stomper of a main riff.

The accompanying video really embodies the band’s sense of fun—also very audible in the music—as it showcases the members of the band playing live while dressed up as some sort of cyborg. Mutants is Mutoid Man‘s third-full length album, and their first in seven years, which is understandable given the members’ other commitments—Steven Brodsky fronts Cave In, Ben Koller beats the skins in Converge and new bassist Jeff Matz holds down the low end in stoner metal powerhouse High on Fire.

Mutoid Man‘s last album, War Moans, was released in 2017 via the Sargent House label.

MUTANTS tracklisting:
Call of the Void
Frozen Hearts
Broken Glass Ceiling
Siren Song
Graveyard Love
Memory Hole
Setting Sun
