Kittie’s Morgan Lander Says ‘Fans Will Be Really Pleased With The Next Few Years,’ Teases New Music

The return of alt-metal favorites Kittie has been a fun ride to witness. From their first show back in five years when they played the Blue Ridge Rock Festival last September to their recent performance at Sick New World in Las Vegas when they played a brand new song, fans of the all-female group have had a lot to be excited about and according to frontwoman Morgan Lander, that feeling’s going to continue for the foreseeable future.

While speaking with Jonathan Montenegro for his “My 3 Questions To” series (as transcribed by Blabbermouth), Lander said the future of Kittie is currently being figured out and as such, she can’t really go into specifics.

“There’s not too much that I can really share. We do have a couple of shows coming up later on this year, one in Mexico [in December]. And we’re also playing the Louder Than Life festival in September. So just a couple of shows. And we are gonna be focusing on, I guess, possibly making people’s Kittie dreams come true, I guess you could say. I can’t really put this into too many words, but we are definitely really excited about the future. We’re working towards the future. And if the new song that we played at Sick New World [festival in Las Vegas earlier this month] is any indication of what’s to come, I think Kittie fans will be really pleased with the next few years. We’ve got a lot coming down the pipe, so we’re really, really excited.”

So there you have it. With new music already out there in the wild, it might only be a matter of time before we get to find out more about what’s coming down the pipe from Kittie. As someone that remembers seeing Kittie shirts being worn in middle school, it’s exciting to know that much like comic book deaths, even your favorite bands can some back from the abyss.
