Sylosis’ New Album A Sign Of Things To Come Coming This September, First Single “Poison For The Lost” Out Now

It’s been three years since their last studio release, but Sylosis are back again with a new album titled A Sign Of Things To Come slated for release later this year. To commemorate that fact, the band dropped the album’s first single, “Poison For The Lost.”

Recently, guitarist Josh Middleton left Architects to work on new Sylosis material and it’s now obvious why he had to make such a change. With a new record and likely tour coming in the near future (just spitballing, here), he’s probably going to need all the time he can get for this project.

Having been away for a while now, Middleton said it felt great to be back with the band and working on new material.

“This has been a homecoming for me, in many ways! We’re confident that we’ve created something special with our new record and we can’t wait for you to hear the new music over coming months ahead of the release in September.”

Despite the familiarity he experienced while working with the rest of Sylosis on the record, Middleton said working with production master Scott Atkins proved challenging but necessary for the album overall.

“This is the first time I’ve allowed myself to be produced; taking on some brutal criticism and pushing myself to deliver the best vocal performance of my career. I’m a big fan of progressive and long albums, but I was ruthless on myself during the whole process. I think that shows in the final result on the record!”

A Sign Of Things To Come will release on September 8 via Nuclear Blast Records, but you can preorder your copy today.
