Volbeat Announce Rob Caggiano’s Exit from the Band

0

Danish band Volbeat are experiencing a pretty huge lineup change, as they’ve announced that long-time guitarist Rob Caggiano is leaving the band.

“After ten incredible years we must sadly announce that Volbeat and Rob Caggiano have parted ways. During our time together we’ve traveled the world sharing great experiences and released four albums that we are immensely proud of, and we wouldn’t change a moment of it.

“We wish our brother Rob all the best with everything he does in the future (we know it’s going to be great)!

“Filling those shoes on stage will be a herculean task, but our good friend Flemming C. Lund (The Arcane Order) will be jumping in to handle lead guitar on our 2023 shows.

“Thank you to all of our incredible fans for their support, and more importantly, thank you to Rob for ten amazing years.”

Caggiano played on the band’s last four studio albums: Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies (2013), Seal the Deal & Let’s Boogie (2016), Rewind, Replay, Rebound (2019), and Servant Of The Mind (2021). Prior to his time with Volbeat, he played with Anthrax, where he appeared on 2003’s We’ve Come For You All and 2004’s The Greater of Two Evils, and he played on and produced the killer 2011 album Worship Music.

From what it sounds like in their post, it seems like Caggiano’s departure from Volbeat was an amicable split. We don’t know what his next steps are, but wherever he lands, we’ll be sure to let you all know.

Volbeat will be on tour later this year with Halestorm. You can check out the full list of dates and find links to get your tickets below:
