The Sword to Celebrate 15 Years of ‘Warp Riders’ with Western U.S. Tour
Fuck, we’re getting old. It feels like yesterday that I was lighting one up with my friends as an unemployed college grad while listening to The Sword‘s Warp Rider. But now you’re telling me the band is going on tour to celebrate that album’s 15th fucking anniversary?!?!?! Shit.
Existential crisis aside, that’s exactly what’s happening. The Sword will be playing the entirety of Warp Riders on this newly announced run and of course, it’s happening exclusively out on the U.S. west coast. It was only two months ago that the band reunited, setting this whole thing in motion. Still, frontman JD Cronise said this run of dates will be a special one for fans new and old.
“This is probably the only chance people will have to see us perform the entire album, so don’t miss out!”
So. Fucking. Jealous.
The tour will kick off on August 17 in Phoenix, Arizona and come tp an end on August 30 in Los Angeles, California. Along the way, they’ll make stops in Denver, Salt Lake City, Seattle, San Francisco, and more.
In addition to the Warp Riders celebration, the tour will feature supporting acts Rickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol and Pink Fuzz on every date. If you know anything, we at MetalSucks are Rickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol believers, so you better whip it the fuck around if you catch one of these shows.
