No Matter What Trivium’s Matt Heafy Says, Fleshlights Are Not Suitable to Bring to a Show
What is going on lately with metal and marital aids?! First you had Ghost offering up a $130 “ghildo”, then you had Pig Destroyer offering a set of buttpluigs to everyone and their mother, and now Matt Heafy told concertgoers at a Trivium show over the weekend to take out their fleshlights during a show.
What a time to be alive. Now, to be completely transparent, Heafy misspoke when he asked the crowd to turn on “your cell phone lights, your flashlights, your fleshlights…” As soon as he noticed the goof, he immediately laughed and corrected his mistake before hoping someone was recording.
With this being the age of social media, you be your ass there’s a clip online of him asking everyone to take out their pocket orifices made to look like casual flashlights. …Not that I know what a fleshlight looks like or anything…
In the aftermath of that flub, Heafy retweeted the interaction with the following statement:
“I’d like to formally apologize for what I said last night on stage. I can and will do better.”
