Katatonia Share Climactic Single “Temporal” Ahead of New Album
Swedish gothic metal outfit Katatonia are back with the second single from their forthcoming album Nightmares as Extensions of the Waking.
With the new song “Temporal” out just weeks after the album’s introductory single “Lilac” dropped Katatonia frontman Jonas Renkse shared what sounds like the motif behind the new track.
“Temporal, when the enchantment is gone. When riffing is on, the combination offers no solace other than the pleasure of the vicious circle & the colours of the night. Enjoy.”
Last month, the band announced some pretty intense news when founding member Anders Nyström officially exited the band. Though there isn’t too much detail on why he left, the band is still going on as usual and gearing up for the release of their upcoming record.
Nightmares as Extensions of the Waking is scheduled for release on June 6 via Napalm Records, but you can pre-order it here. The band also has a long list of tour dates coming up later this year, which you can find below.
