0

A buncha artists in the metal scene — some big and some not so big — have joined forces to contribute exclusive tracks to a compilation to help raise money for a no-kill animal shelter in rural Alabama. Featuring the likes of Testament guitarist Alex Skolnick, Killswitch Engage, Lybica, and Enforced, this is sure to be something to pick up for a good cause.

Set for release on August 8 via Iodine Recordings, the collection titled The Dogs Of Hope will donate 100% of the net profits through physical and digital purchases of the album will go to help Randolph County Animal Shelter, located in Wedowee, Alabama.

To get the party started and to give people an idea of what to expect, Walter Schreifels’ cover of Pink Floyd’s “Pigs On The Wing (Part 1)” is available to stream right now. You can find out more about the benefit over on the group’s Bandcamp page.
