Alice Cooper Nominated for Radio Hall of Fame

Some of you guys may be too young to realize it, but there’s this thing that’s been around forever called ‘radio’. It’s basically podcasts and randomized Spotify playlists, only broadcast over the air instead of on the internet. And just like any medium out there, there are award shows and Halls of Fame to be considered for, and shock rocker/radio host Alice Cooper is collecting those like golden tickets.

Today, the already-credited Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has been announced as one of the few nominees for the 2025 Radio Hall of Fame. Specifically, the nomination is for his long-running and critically-acclaimed radio shows Nights with Alice Cooper and Alice’s Attic with Alice Cooper.

Speaking about his nomination, Alice Cooper said:

“It’s always a thrill to be recognized for doing what you love. For decades I’ve told stories on stage, on records and now on the radio – where I interact directly with rock lovers to share deep cuts, lost classics and the kind of behind-the-scenes stories you can’t Google. I’m grateful to The Museum of Broadcast Communications, Radio Hall of Fame Nominating Committee, the industry and listeners for the honor of this nomination.”

Superadio president Eric Faison paid honorable notice to Cooper’s nomination, exclaiming:

“Alice Cooper is a true original whose voice and persona have shaped rock culture across generations. His nomination to the Radio Hall of Fame is a recognition of his legacy, not just musically, but in how he connects with his audience through radio.”

In other Cooper news, fans can expect a new album with original band members. The record is set to feature Michael Bruce on guitar, Dennis Dunaway on bass, and Neal Smith on drums. Titled The Revenge Of Alice Cooper, the album is their first since their 1973 full-length Muscle of Love and is scheduled for release on July 25 via earMUSIC.

Voting for the 2025 Radio Hall of Fame official closes on June 9. The final inductees will be announced on June 23, and the induction ceremony will commence on October 30 in Chicago.
