System Of A Down’s São Paulo Show Looked Like a Warzone: “Our Fans Bring the F*cking Fire”
Forget pyro on stage, System Of A Down fans have you covered. At least that’s what the band experienced during a recent show of theirs in São Paulo, Brazil. In a couple almost unbelievable Instagram posts, the band shared some insane video footage from that gig and let me tell you… it’s absolutely wild.
As you can see in the videos captured by a drone and posted blow, the band played alongside bursts of flames placed by screaming fans. Playing to around 75,000 people, the footage for this goes absolutely crazy, as fans wave fire spinners in different parts of Autódromo de Interlagos.
Speaking about this energy, guitarist Daron Malakian expressed his appreciation and excitement for how things went down in Brazil.
“If you notice, we don’t have pyro on the stage… but our fans bring the fucking fire.” and “This is not a war zone, this is not a riot, this is a System Of A Down style Rock & Roll concert in Brazil!!!!!!!”
Though it looks like complete and utter chaos, there’s an odd sense of coordination in it all. How did so many fans think to bring fire spinners? How were they all so perfectly placed from each other? You know, as in the flames and shit was not too far, but not too close to one another either. There are so many questions, but all in all, it doesn’t get more metal than this.
