The Amity Affliction Bring the Heat in New Single and Video “All That I Remember”
Before I can even acknowledge their new song, myself and the MetalSucks team would like to extend our condolences to The Amity Affliction and the friends and family of their music agent, Dave Shapiro, who tragically died in a plane crash on Saturday, May 24.
So far, in 2025, The Amity Affliction has had a few troublesome months. Including the whole saga with Ahren Stringer’s abrupt and complicated split from the band. As of current, none of the original band remembers remain, and The Amity Affliction is pretty much an entirely new project.
With this in mind, the band has just shared their brand-new single, “All That I Remember,” with their newest member, Jonny Reeves (backing vocalist and bassist).
Speaking about their new release, frontman Joel Birch shared some personal details about the inspirations behind the track,
“My mother knew only abuse and isolation, even in death as she cut her own children off. She died as she lived, paranoid and alone.”
Birch’s brother, Beau Birch, added,
“Time and again, our mother showed us that she would put herself first, and use life’s pain to justify her actions of self-interests, while we were left to fend for ourselves.”
