Halestorm Release Album Title Track “Everest”
Halestorm are back with a new single, and this time around it’s the title track of their highly anticipated sixth studio album, Everest.
Out today, “Everest” is a climactic, grungy ballad. Its lyrics stand out as an emotionally-penned release, expressing themes of depression, suicide and loneliness.
Speaking about the meaning behind their new single, Halestorm vocalist Lzzy Hale shares,
“Our song “Everest” is the summit of everything we’ve fought for—every scream, every scar, every triumph. This album is US, louder and bolder, and more brutally honest than ever, standing tall in the face of the storm.”
“Everest” is the second track lifted from their new album and follows their even more pensive single, “Darkness Always Wins.” On today’s release, Halestorm brings fans a captivating sense of melodrama. From the yearning delivery in Hale’s vocals to the jagged power chords and soaring chorus lines.
For the next month, Halestorm is continuing their support slot on Iron Maiden’s Run For Your Lives World Tour. Following that, the band are set to play Black Sabbath’s Back to the Beginning final show. Fast forward to this fall, and Halestorm will officially embark on their nEVEREST tour in September.
Everest comes out August 8 via Atlantic Records, but you can pre-save it here.
