Biohazard Release Their First Single in Over a Decade with “Forsaken”

We all had a feeling this day was going to come, but after their three-year long reunion period and a range of shows now under their belt as a refocused group, New York hardcore legends Biohazard are back with a new track for the first time in over 10 years.

The new single, titled “Forsaken” is the sort of thing you’d expect from Biohazard in 2025. Lots of moshable riffs, plenty of gang vocals, and a music video showing off how bonkers their live shows can get. That one riff — you’ll know which one when you listen to the track — is pretty much instant headbang material.

Speaking of how the band got here, Biohazard guitarist/vocalist/life saver Billy Graziadei expressed how great it is for the band to be talking about a new record with the original lineup at this point in their careers.

“What started as three reunion shows of the OG lineup turned into three unstoppable years of kicking ass on stage night after night! Now we’re back with a new record that hits with all the classic BIOHAZARD energy, louder and harder than ever.”

As for the video, bassist and vocalist Evan Seinfeld said it really was indicative of where the band’s headspace and energy is at as they get ready to drop a new record.

“We shot this video in Amsterdam, at Melkweg, an iconic venue where BIOHAZARD first made our bones in Europe back in the late ’80s and ‘90s. It’s really organic, and a little sample of the energy of our first new album in 15 years, performed in a live setting. Make sure you’re strapped in and prepare for some real mayhem when our new album drops!”

As a funny little aside, surely someone else hears Slayer’s “Bloodline” in the little breakdown at 2:40, right? I know it’s a coincidence, but I couldn’t shake the similarity. You know what they say about great minds and all that…

While we don’t know much about the band’s forthcoming album other than the fact that they’re working on one, it’s still exciting to know that it’s coming. For now, we got this banger to get hyped over.
