New Pig Pen Just Dropped, “Vemon Moon Rising” Streaming Now
It’s a little embarrassing how much of a Pig Pen fan I am this early on into their career, but today they’ve just dropped another single from their forthcoming record.
Out now, “Venom Moon Rising” is a delicious slap of traditional hardcore. You know, the type of stuff you’d listen to while washing your dishes or something, I don’t know. Right now, Pig Pen are gearing up for the release of their debut LP, Mental Madness. And so far, they’ve released three tracks. Previously, “Rabid Beach,” a song condensed in heavily distorted guitars and chant-like vocals, the album title-track and now today’s offering.
It’s pretty insane to think that TV icon and chef, Matty Matheson, only officially launched this band in March this year. Since then, they’ve signed to Flatspot Records and are working towards their debut LP release. I guess already being famous does help speed up the process for side projects.
“Venom Moon Rising” is streaming here. Mental Madness officially comes out June 27 via Flatspot Records, but you can pre-order it here.
Alongside their new single, Pig Pen has also announced two new gigs for early July. You can find those dates below.
