Tool, Machine Head, Knocked Loose, and More Announced for Good Things Festival 2025
When it comes to music festivals, organizers usually tend to try to stick to an overarching theme or genre. Think metal festivals and Hellfest, Wacken, Tolminator… You know — the regulars. Then there’s wild, multi-genre festival soups like the one planned for three days in Australia this December, as the Good Things Festival 2025 just announced their lineup.
But who would play a three-day traveling festival in Australia on December 5-7? How about headliner Tool, Machine Head, Knocked Loose, Lorna Shore, Refused, Kublai Khan TX… Oh and Weezer, Garbage, New Found Glory, Goldfinger. You know, common festival cohorts.
So yeah, this festival is a mish-mash of genres and that should be exciting for us metalheads. It’s a chance to bring the metal music to more normies, which only means one thing — a potential to expand the tent of heavy metal. We’re just hoping the insane antics of GWAR don’t turn those people off.
