Gaerea Sign with Century Media, Hint at New Album Coming in 2026

Days after the release of their latest single “Submerged,” Portuguese extreme metal outfit Gaerea announced that they’ve not only signed with Century Media, but they’ve also got an album in the works.

That last part doesn’t sound all that farfetched. I mean, they’ve been steadily releasing stand-alone singles for a while now. It’s safe to assume that a lot of those tracks will be featured on the new record when it comes out early next year.

Speaking of the label’s latest acquisition, Mike Gitter, vice president of A&R at Century Media, said Gaerea were a perfect fit.

“We are excited to be working with GAEREA and their team. They are a rare band that transcends convenient genres and suggests something deeper on both musical, but also spiritual levels. In many ways, their story is just beginning.”

Starting this fall, Gaerea will head out on tour with their new labelmates Orbit Culture as support across the U.K. and Europe. You can find the full list of dates below the official music video for “Submerged.”
