Enthroned Announce New Album ‘Ashspawn’, Lead Single “Raviasamin” Streaming Now

In a move that sounds a little too on the nose, Belgian black metal outfit Enthroned worked in collaboration with occult author Gilles de Laval in the creation of their forthcoming album Ashspawn. To mark the occasion, they’ve released the album’s lead single, “Raviasamin” — and damn it, if it’s not a killer track.

Speaking of the single, the band explained what exactly the track’s namesake means — or does— within the story they’re trying to tell.

“Raviasamin opens the seal: a curse of serpents, stones, and silence torn apart. Within Ashspawn, violence becomes revelation, grief becomes transformation.”

As for the music video, which you can check out below, the band made sure to note that the visuals aren’t A.I. generated. Instead, they said each model was hand sculpted and redone in Unreal Engine. So keep those pitchforks in the shed for now.

Ashspawn will be released onDecember 5, but you can preorder your copy today.
