Tom Morello and Beartooth Collaborate on New Final Fantasy XIV Track

Normally when I see the words “light it up,” I prepare myself for either the weed rotation or watching something explode. A mildly similar feeling can be found in a new social media post featuring legendary guitarist Tom Morello, made by an unexpected profile.

Final Fantasy XIV—yes, like Final Fantasy the games—shared a video yesterday, December 5, showing Morello talking about a new song set to release for the game. Called “Everything Burns,” the track also features another unexpected entity, since it’s a collaboration with Ohio metalcore kids Beartooth.

In the video, Morello gives a short preview of the single, with copy that said the following:

“Light it up, let’s go! ????

“A new song by award-winning guitarist Tom Morello, featuring Beartooth, is making its way onto the Arcadion stage in FFXIV!

“Here’s a message from Tom and a preview of the upcoming track, Everything Burns!”
