Vola Pledge to Continue with Their 2026 Touring Plans After Losing Their Gear in a Warehouse Fire
Just before the holiday season, a bummer of a story cropped up regarding progressive metal outfit Vola and the total destruction of most of their gear, merch, vinyl, and custom-built systems… lots of irreplaceable shit… in a Copenhagen storage facility fire. They subsequently started a GoFundMe to help recover their lost gear, raising 882,257 Danish Krone (approx. $138,000 USD).
In a recent update from the band, it turns out that not only are they thankful for the response from fans, but they’re happy to announce that they’ll be able to continue on with their 2026 tour plans despite the blaze.
“Thank You! We are so fortunate to have you out there looking out for us! To be surrounded by such an incredible community of people who care about Vola is just unbelievable.
“Your donations and messages of support, partners & companies offering gear, so many fans, friends, bands & media outlets sharing our story, and our fantastic team helping us through these daring times, it is just stunning and humbling to experience.
“You all had our back, and we cannot thank you enough. This rollercoaster ride of an experience still has a couple of loops to race through, but we can do that with a smile on our faces, and we will be absolutely fine!
“So, what is next? We can report with great joy that we are fully immersed in rebuilding our live production for the upcoming shows. We are filled with Gratitude, and we cannot wait to channel all of this into playing music for you out there again very soon.
“Next Stop, our first-ever shows in Japan & Australia in February!”
